PBSP Ministerial Majuro 2026: Outcome Statement

On the 10th and 11th of June 2026 in Majuro, the Ministers responsible for Maritime Transportation of Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Naoero, Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu, convened to discuss and sign The Pacific Blue Shipping Partnership (PBSP).

The PBSP is an ambitious country-driven initiative for a large-scale climate finance investment to catalyse a regional transition to sustainable, resilient, and low carbon shipping. 

The decarbonisation targets for domestic shipping are:

• Zero emissions by 2050
• 40% reduction by 2030 (conditional on access to appropriate finance)
