Pacific Maritime Project Database
The Micronesian Center for Sustainable Transport (MCST) has officially launched a new database collating the broad range of donor-led maritime projects in the Pacific.
Developed with critical support from research partners at the University College of London’s Energy Institute, the new database was created as a tool to enhance knowledge of donor funding for maritime projects in the Pacific. MCST hopes the database will support a range of stakeholders, including students, policymakers, researchers and development partners to better understand the scale and financial cost of Maritime projects in the Pacific. The database also aims to support the planning decisions of Pacific and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) as they work to decarbonise their transport systems. This new database also reflects MCST’s ongoing commitment to being a knowledge portal for sustainable transport in the Pacific, especially for SIDS.
