This presentation was a collaboration with Aly Shaw from London School of Economics. It covered the position of SIDS, particularly in the Pacific, exploring how they would be most impacted by decisions made at the IMO. The presentation covered economic theories for a just transition, as well as the opportunities of a shipping transition. Another aspect covered was the importance of the correct use of language and not confusing terms around the just and equitable transition.
