Inshore fisheries, which includes the artisanal and subsistence sectors, is arguably one of the most important resource sectors in the Fiji economy, but it is undervalued, poorly understood and based on estimates. This paper provides an overview of policies, issues, and proposed policy changes for Fiji’s inshore fisheries.
