University College of London : The Low Carbon Shipping Seascape – Current Debate, Challenges and Opportunities. Webinar, 22 March, 2018

This UCL Webinar was timed ahead of the International Maritime Organisation’s Marine Environment Protection Committee’s 72nd session (April 2018) which will aim to finalise the initial GHG strategy, shipping’s climate deal.

In order to be in line with the temperature goals of the Paris Agreement, the shipping sector must aim for 70-100% reduction in absolute GHG emissions by 2050 on 2008 levels, as outlined in ISWG GHG 2/2/12 by Belgium et al.
