In 2014 ISSC awarded a seed grant to Dr Peter Nuttall at the University of the South Pacific (USP) to accelerate development of a recently established transformation network seeking to support Pacific Island Countries (PICs) develop low carbon sea transport futures.

The seed grant has allowed the talanoa (conversation/discussion/discourse) begun at the USP hosted Sustainable Sea Transport Talanoa 20141 and 20142 to be continued among existing and new entrant participants.
