The Republic of the Marshall Islands has set a policy target of reducing its transport emissions by 16% by 2025. It is the first Pacific country to make such a commitment. This paper provides background and a framework for establishing the Micronesian Sustainable Transport Center as a sub-regional initiative and a catalyst for change in Majuro, RMI.
